Privacy Policy


Who we are

7walks is a dog walking and pet sitting service operating in Lisbon, Portugal. The service is currently operated by Maksim Chishko as an individual entrepreneur, with a limited company (Unipessoal Lda) registration in progress. This Privacy Policy will be updated once the company is registered.

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Maksim Chishko is the data controller for personal data collected through 7walks.


What data we collect

When you book a service and complete the booking form, we collect:

  • Your full name, phone number, and email address
  • Your home or service address, including access details (floor, intercom code)
  • Emergency contact name and phone number
  • Information about your pet: name, breed, age, size, sex, behavior notes, medical conditions, vaccination records, and any other details you choose to share
  • Photos or documents you upload (vaccination certificates)
  • Payment information processed through Revolut (we do not store card details ourselves)
  • Communication history with our team (WhatsApp, email, Telegram)

We may also collect basic technical data when you visit our website: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and similar information, collected through Google Analytics and Meta Pixel.


Why we collect it

  • To schedule and deliver the service you booked
  • To match you with an appropriate walker or sitter
  • To handle payment
  • To contact you about your booking
  • To respond to emergencies involving your pet
  • With your explicit consent, to send promotional messages and to feature photos or videos of your pet on our social media and marketing materials
  • To improve our service and understand how people use our website


Who has access to your data

Your data is accessible to:

  • The 7walks core team (Maksim Chishko, Milana Tsoy, Denis Dykyi, Demian Petliak)
  • The specific walker or sitter assigned to your booking, who receives only what they need to provide the service

We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.


Third-party services we use

We use the following tools that process your data on our behalf:

  • Trafft — booking and scheduling
  • Revolut — payment processing
  • Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar) — communication and scheduling
  • Google Analytics — website analytics
  • Meta Pixel — advertising analytics (if you visit our website)
  • WhatsApp, Telegram — direct communication with clients
  • Mailchimp or similar (planned) — email newsletters, only if you explicitly opt in

Each of these services has its own privacy practices, which we encourage you to review.


How long we keep your data

  • Booking and client data: up to 3 years after your last booking, or until you request deletion
  • Payment records: up to 10 years, as required by Portuguese tax law, once we operate as a registered company
  • Marketing email list: until you unsubscribe
  • Photos of your pet used for marketing: until you withdraw consent


Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Withdraw consent for marketing or for the use of your pet's photos
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD — Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados)

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as the service grows, particularly when Pet Friend is formally registered as a limited company. You will find the latest version on this page. Significant changes will be communicated to existing clients by email.



Terms of Service


1. Who we are

7walks is a dog walking and pet sitting service based in Lisbon, Portugal. The service is currently operated by Maksim Chishko as an individual, with a limited company registration in progress. Payments are received via Revolut to an account held by Demian Petliak, a co-founder of 7walks, acting on behalf of the service.

By booking a service with us, you agree to these Terms.


2. Services we provide

  • Dog Walking — 30 minutes: €9
  • Dog Walking — 1 hour: €15
  • Pet Sitting — Day (typically 9:00–18:00, flexible): €19
  • Pet Sitting — Night (typically 19:00–08:00, flexible): €23
  • Pet Sitting — 24 hours (start and end times by arrangement): €35

All pet sitting is delivered at the client's home. We do not take pets to our own premises.


3. Service area

We operate within the administrative boundaries of the city of Lisbon, approximately from Algés to Moscavide and from Cais do Sodré to Odivelas. Requests outside this area are considered on a case-by-case basis.


4. How booking works

  1. Select a service and time slot on our booking page.
  2. Complete the booking form with your contact details and information about your pet.
  3. Pay the booking amount via the Revolut link provided at the end of the form. If the person paying is not the person who made the booking, please include the booker's name in the payment comment.
  4. Once we receive both the completed form and the payment, your booking is confirmed and your walker or sitter will be in touch to introduce themselves and finalize details.

A booking is not confirmed until payment has been received.


5. Requirements for clients

To use our services, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • Your pet's vaccinations are current, and you can provide a photo of the vaccination record
  • Your pet has received up-to-date flea and tick treatment
  • You have informed us of any behavioral issues, including any history of biting or serious aggression (failure to disclose may result in immediate termination of service without refund)
  • You are reachable by phone during the scheduled service
  • You have informed us if your pet is in heat
  • You have informed the sitter in advance if there are any active surveillance cameras inside the home
  • If your dog belongs to a legally restricted breed in Portugal (Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Rottweiler, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, Tosa Inu), the dog will wear a muzzle during walks, ideally one your pet is already familiar with

Booking may be refused or cancelled without refund if any of these requirements are not met.


6. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation by you:

  • More than 24 hours before the service: full refund
  • Between 12 and 24 hours before: 50% refund
  • Less than 12 hours before: no refund

Cancellation by us:

  • If we successfully arrange a replacement walker or sitter with no impact on your schedule: no refund
  • If the replacement causes rescheduling: partial refund of 25% to 50%, depending on impact
  • If we are unable to provide the service and cannot arrange a replacement: full refund
  • In cases where we fall significantly short of what was promised, we will offer additional compensation on a case-by-case basis, such as a discount or complimentary service

Refunds are processed back to the payment method used, typically within 5 business days.


7. If you are unavailable at the time of service

If our walker or sitter arrives and is unable to begin the service because you did not open the door, failed to provide access, the pet is not at home, or for any similar reason that prevents us from delivering the service, the full booking amount is retained and no refund is given.


8. Liability

Your pet's behavior: Pets are unpredictable, particularly in their own environment. You are responsible for any damage caused by your pet to its own home, its own belongings, or your property during our service. In exceptional cases where damage is clearly and solely the result of our walker's or sitter's actions, we will discuss fair compensation directly with you.

Our walker's or sitter's actions: If a member of our team accidentally damages or loses an item in your home, we will cover the reasonable replacement cost. Please keep particularly valuable items out of accessible areas during pet sitting.

Keys: When you entrust keys to our sitter for a 24-hour booking, we commit to keeping them securely and returning them in the same condition at the end of the service. We do not make copies under any circumstances.

Your pet's safety: Our walkers and sitters are trained to handle pets responsibly. If something happens to your pet because of our negligence, we take responsibility. However, we cannot be held responsible for issues stemming from your pet's existing health conditions, undisclosed behavioral problems, or unpredictable reactions to circumstances beyond anyone's control.


9. Veterinary emergencies

If your pet requires emergency veterinary care during our service and you cannot be reached, our walker or sitter will use their best judgment and take the pet to a veterinary clinic. You, as the owner, are responsible for all veterinary costs. We will share all receipts and documentation.

In cases where the emergency disrupts our team's schedule significantly (for example, prolonged time at a clinic), we may invoice an additional fee, discussed with you case by case.


10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Lisbon.

Cookie Policy


What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function and collect information about how they are used.


What cookies we use

Currently, Pet Friend uses cookies through our booking platform and through the following tools:

  • Google Analytics — helps us understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time spent, general location). Data is anonymized where possible.
  • Meta Pixel — helps us measure the effectiveness of ads on Facebook and Instagram and reach people who may be interested in Pet Friend.

These are third-party cookies, and their use is governed by the privacy policies of Google and Meta respectively.


Your choices

You can refuse non-essential cookies through the cookie banner when you first visit our site, or change your settings at any time through your browser. Blocking cookies may affect how the site works, but will not prevent you from booking.

Cancellation & Refund Policy


This page summarizes the cancellation and refund terms from our Terms of Service. In case of conflict, the Terms of Service take precedence.


If you cancel

  • More than 24 hours before the service — full refund
  • Between 12 and 24 hours before the service — 50% refund
  • Less than 12 hours before the service — no refund

Please cancel by sending a message to the phone number or email associated with your booking. The earlier you let us know, the easier it is for us to offer the slot to someone else.


If we cancel or need to change your booking

  • Successful replacement with no impact on your schedule — no refund, service delivered as planned
  • Replacement involves rescheduling — partial refund of 25% to 50%, based on how much the change affects you
  • We cannot deliver the service at all — full refund
  • If we fall significantly short of what was promised — additional compensation on a case-by-case basis, such as a discount or complimentary service


If you are not available at the agreed time

If our walker or sitter arrives on time and cannot begin the service because the home cannot be accessed, the pet is not there, or for any similar reason, the booking amount is not refunded.


Refund processing

Refunds are sent back to the original payment method, typically within 5 business days.
